The UC Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive (BAM/PFA) is actively raising funds to name the Asian Art Study Center in the new museum in honour of James Cahill. All net proceeds from the sale of the following lots 166-172 will go towards the establishment of the Cahill Study Center. 已故高居翰名譽教授(1926年至2014年)曾在加州大學柏克萊分校任教中國藝術史長達29年。加州大學柏克萊分校博物館與太平洋電影資料庫(BAM/ PFA)新館正在積極籌集資金,建立以高居翰命名的亞洲藝術研究中心。以下拍品(編號166-172)的拍賣所得款項淨額將用於建立高居翰亞洲藝術研究中心之用。 FROM THE COLLECTION OF MRS. SALLY YU LEUNG 余翠雁女士收藏 Sally Yu Leung is an independent lecturer, author and curator of the Chinese decorative arts. She is a University of California Berkeley graduate, where she studied under the guidance of the renowned novelist Kenneth Hsien-yung Pai and the art historian James Cahill. She was appointed by the Mayors of San Francisco to serve as a commissioner for the San Francisco Asian Art Museum from 1999-2009. She remains an ambassador for the Museum in addition to being an instructor at both Pixar Animation Studios University as well as the Denver Botanical Gardens School of the Arts. Both Mr. and Mrs. Leung have been intimate friends with Cheng Shifa and his family since the 1980s, and have been passionate fans and collectors of many Cheng's paintings. 以下拍品(編號166-170)得自余翠雁女士收藏。余翠雁 ,作家、學者及中國裝飾藝術策展人。早年師從白先勇及高居翰, 畢業於美國加州大學柏加萊分校。1999至2009年間榮獲舊金山市市長任命擔任亞洲藝術博物館委員。现為舊金山亞洲藝術博物馆文化大使、美國皮克斯動漫大學及丹佛市植物園藝術學院教師。余氏伉儷與程十髮一家自上世紀八十年代起往來密切,她喜愛收藏程十髮的作品。
