Meg Randell
Meg Randell is the European and UK Head of Designer Handbags & Fashion. She joined the department upon its launch in 2020.
As an auctioneer and a specialist, Meg has sold several important and rare handbags from names such as Hermès and Chanel, becoming a recognised authority in pre-loved luxury goods. In 2021, she sourced and sold a Hermès Birkin that belonged to the bag's namesake, Jane Birkin. Jane Birkin's Black Togo Birkin 35 fetched £119,000 and attracted global attention. Meg has bought some important single-owner collections to auction, including Enduring Style: a Single Owner Collection of Designer Handbags and Fashion, which sold 100% by lot and 170% by value.
After studying History of Art at the University of Birmingham, Meg worked for several regional auction houses in Gloucestershire and Shropshire, specialising in European ceramics and vintage fashion. Noticing a gap in the luxury market, she moved to London in 2013, setting up a successful Designer Handbag department for an established West London auction house. In 2015, Meg moved to Chiswick Auctions, where she established their Designer Handbag and Fashion department.
