
Nina Skunca
Nina Skunca Lama is Bonhams' Regional Representative for Ticino. Based in Geneva, she regularly travels to the region to provide auction valuations with other specialists.
Since joining Bonhams in 2019, Nina has sourced many exceptional items from the Geneva and Ticino areas which have gone on to auctions around the world. These include Rim Shot by Hassel Smith, which achieved $90,000 in New York; Nterkwe - Emu Tucker II, 1991 by Emily Kame Kngwarreye, Australia's most celebrated First Nation woman artist, which sold for A$170,000 in Syndey; Composition abstraite by Serge Poliakoff, sold for £64,000 in London; and a 1928 Auburn Model 88 Boattail Speedster, sold for €210,000 in Paris.
Before Bonhams, Nina worked at Christie's in Lugano and Geneva for 12 years. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Fine & Decorative Arts from Sotheby's Institute in London.
Nina speaks fluent Italian, English, French and Croatian, as well as a bit of Spanish.
