
Charlotte Roelofsen
Charlotte Roelofsen is Representative and Head of Office for Bonhams Netherlands. Based in Amsterdam, she is responsible for developing the network of buyers and sellers in the Netherlands and sources a wide range of property – from watches, jewelry and collectibles to fine art and design.
In her role, Charlotte has sourced some exceptional lots including the exceedingly rare and largest-ever couplet by modern master painter Zhang Daqian, sold at Bonhams Hong Kong. She was also responsible for introducing the Sam Francis auctions in London and Los Angeles and – together with the Bonhams Brussels, Paris and Copenhagen teams – was responsible for the successful CoBrA auction at Bruun Rasmussen.
Prior to joining Bonhams in 2018, Charlotte worked at international auction houses in Amsterdam and as a gallery manager, focusing on modern and contemporary Asian art. Charlotte holds a Masters' degree in History of Art and has a particular interest in modern and contemporary Chinese and Indonesian art.
