
Frederick Millar
Frederick Millar is Specialist, Head of Sale in the Impressionist & Modern Art department at Bonhams in London. Working on all main and themed sales in the department, Fred has a special interest in the themes of Post-Impressionism, Fauvism and Expressionism, with a particular passion for works on paper.
With a primary focus on business getting for the London sales, Fred also oversees the department's cataloguing, research and authentication. He works closely with our teams around the world, with a particular focus on Germany, Austria, Greece and Poland. Among Fred's exceptional results are Edvard Munch's Figurer ved Seinen i Saint-Cloud (£390,900), which achieved over three times the high estimate, and Maurice de Vlaminck's La forêt (£1,122,300).
Before joining Bonhams in October 2017, Fred studied History of Art at the University of York and then started his career in the auction world at Sotheby's.
