Oliver White
Oliver White has led the Islamic and Indian Art Department since 2015, having joined Bonhams in 2008. Personal highlights of his career include discovering a rare 16th century Gujarat mother of pearl-inlaid tray, which, having languished semi-forgotten under a bed for 30 years, sold for just under £1 million, against an estimate of £60,000-80,000, and selling the Bedchamber Sword of Tipu Sultan for £14 million, which remains a world auction record for any Islamic or Indian Art.
