
Tim Tezer
Tim Tezer is a Junior Specialist in Fine Books and Manuscripts at Bonhams New York. After eight years' experience in the Arms and Armor and Native American Art departments in San Francisco, Tim moved to the Book department in New York in 2011, and was promoted to Junior Specialist in 2017.
During his tenure at Bonhams, Tim has contributed to the successful sale of a wide variety of items, from original safety plugs used on the Little Boy atomic bomb and recovered from the Enola Gay, to the colonial Americana of the late William H. Guthman and a manuscript notebook of computations by Alan Turing. With a combined experience of over 19 years in the auction world, he has brought both administrative skills and specialized knowledge to the Fine Books and Manuscripts team.
After earning his BA in Communications from Chapman University, Tim worked extensively in the entertainment industry at The Jim Henson Company, Warner Brothers and other venues, before transitioning to Butterfields prior to its acquisition by Bonhams. Tim has also completed coursework at Rare Book School at the University of Virginia.
