Los Angeles – Bonhams presents a magnificent collection of jewelry to be brought to auction at Bonhams Los Angeles on May 9. The collection features vibrant colored stones, brilliant diamonds, and a significant collection of Grecian jewelry by artists such as Ilias Lalaounis and Zolotas from a private Sonoma California estate. The 339-lot auction spans the decades from the early 20th century to modern contemporary pieces. Leading the sale is an impressive collection of iconic jeweler Oscar Heyman & Brothers, a renowned American designer known for exquisite craftsmanship and gemstone selection since 1912.

Highlights include:
• An important Oscar Heyman & Brothers emerald and diamond ring with a
rectangular step cut emerald of Colombian origin weighing 5.89 carats and two trapezoidal diamonds of approximately 3.35 carats. The ring is offered with an estimate of US$30,000-50,000.
• An Oscar Heyman & Brothers emerald and diamond line bracelet featuring graduated rectangular step-cut emeralds of Zambian origin, weighing 19.64 carats with baguette diamonds weighing 6.07 carats, set in platinum. Offered with an estimate of US$20,000-30,000.

Included in the sale is a diamond ring set with a brilliant-cut I color and SI1 clarity diamond, weighing 5.03 carats. The spectacular ring is offered with an estimate of US$38,000-55,000.

Also on offer is an impressive platinum and diamond necklace weighing approximately 21.10 carats. Offered with an estimate of US$25,000-45,000. Another highlight is a brilliant-cut fancy brown-pink diamond and gem-set ring of 3.00 carats. Offered with an estimate of US$25,000-35,000.

Other notable highlights include a collection of Grecian jewelry originating from a private Estate. Standout names are Ilias Lalaounis and Zolotas. The former, Lalaounis was a pioneer of Greek jewelry and a renowned goldsmith who produced innovative designs inspired by Greek history while Zolotas, founded in 1895, created designs inspired by
architecture.

• A Lalaounis 18K gold and diamond bracelet of approximately 2.10 carats. The design features lion head terminals with manes and collars of single-cut diamonds, with the bracelet body accented by bezel-set round diamonds. Offered with an estimate of US$2,500-3,500.

• A Lalaounis emerald and diamond floral necklace and earclip set with square and rectangular step-cut emeralds and accented by single-cut diamonds of approximately 9.25 carats. The matching earclips feature round and rectangular step-cut emeralds of 2.45 carats and single-cut diamonds of 2.05 carats. The set is offered with an estimate of US$2,500-3,500.

• A striking Lalaounis 22K gold necklace featuring a foxtail chain with wire-work and granulated flowers suspending charms of bulls and acorn. The necklace is offered with an estimate of US$2,500-3,500.

• A Zolotas 18K gold and diamond textured floral and leaf necklace and earclip set with single-cut diamonds of approximately 3.50 carats, bead-set in white gold, with matching earclips. Offered with an estimate of US$2,500-3,500
