TWO TALL FIGURAL WOOD NETSUKE

Edo period (1615-1868) or Meiji era (1868-1912), 19th century
The first a figure of Ryūjin, the Dragon King, standing and holding a sacred jewel, a dragon on his back with its chin resting on Ryūjin's head, inscribed Minkoku; the second carved as an emaciated traveler leaning on a bamboo staff
2 7/8in (7.3cm); 3 1/2in (8.9cm) high (2).
