Edo period (1615-1868) or Meiji era (1868-1912), 19th century
The first carved as a pair of quail standing on stalks of millet, the eyes inlaid in dark horn, inscribed Okatomo; the second carved as three playful puppies on a straw mat, the eyes inlaid in dark horn
