The City of Sails Be Happy is a rare and remarkable special edition of the Royal Oak Chronograph (reference 25926), distinguished by its unique titanium and stainless steel construction. Designed as a tribute to the America's Cup regatta in Auckland, New Zealand, this exclusive model stands apart from the standard reference with several distinct design elements.
Its striking electric-blue dial, reminiscent of 'Yves Klein' blue, features an enlarged 'Grande Tapisserie' pattern, complemented by light-grey 'Roundel' sub-dials with blue markings and vivid yellow accents. The engraved case back proudly displays "City of Sails," honoring Auckland's maritime heritage.
At the heart of this watch is the self-winding caliber 2385, equipped with an 18k yellow gold inertial segment and a 40-hour power reserve. Its functions include hours, minutes, small seconds at 6 o'clock, chronograph counters (central seconds, 30-minute, and 12-hour), and a date window between 4 and 5 o'clock.
Limited to only 25 pieces, this model is even more desirable than the limited to 300 pieces reference 25860IS, as it was made specifically for Crew Members, further enhancing its legacy.
