The Sperling Collection

Himalayan and Asian works of art
4 – 25 June 2025

This collection of Himalayan and Asian works of art, including more than 50 Buddhist images and relics, attests to a decades-long devotion to Buddhism and a passion for collecting. Judy and Harold Sperling began their journey in the 1970s, travelling extensively throughout Asia. Along the way, they formed lasting friendships with religious leaders, museum curators, antique dealers, scholars, and like-minded enthusiasts. Their collection reflects not only their refined eye and deep reverence for Buddhist art, but also the relationships and cultural insights they cultivated over a lifetime.
