A Rare Liège 140-Bore Percussion Double-Action Six-Shot Side-Hammer Revolver Of Fagard Patent Type
No. 1790, Circa 1860

With octagonal sighted barrel stamped with a crowned 'Z' at the breech, serial numbered cylinder (one nipple incomplete) engraved with rocailles and foliage and highlighted in silver inlay, frame, hammer (nose with minor repair), and trigger guard (one retaining screw missing) decorated en suite, the second stamped 'SV' on one side, rammer, safety-stop, chequered figured rounded butt carved with foliage and with a flower-head on either side, and retaining much of its original blueing, Liège proof
