The first with slightly swamped brass barrel signed 'H.W. MORTIMER & SON, GUN-MAKERS' (details incomplete), plain tang, flat bevelled lock (signature worn off, top jaw missing) with safety-catch, figured full stock with rounded butt, brass mounts of regulation type, and original brass-tipped ramrod with iron worm (old wear overall), London proof marks; the second of regulation pattern (cock replaced, some old wear, pitting and bruising), small King's proof marks (2)
