Coin Silver Presentation Pitcher,


American, apparently unmarked, circa 1850s, the wide spout above a vasiform body with repousse flowers and scrolled foliage, on a domed foot with beadwork, with the inscription Christmas gift/ Presented to the/ Rev. Wm. Morris L.L.D./ as a testament of esteem/ by the Sunday School of the/ St. Philip P.E. Church/ A.D. 1854' with a later inscription 'Parting gift from W.M. to A.M.C. 1876', ht. 9 1/4 in., approx. 16.55 troy oz.
