The Encyclopaedic Collection – No Reserve is an outstanding single-owner collection of whiskies from all corners of the world. It showcases the eye of a true connoisseur and includes both trophy bottles and everyday drinkers from some of the most storied producing regions in Scotland, the United States and Japan. The collection has outstanding provenance, with many bottles produced directly from the producers on the consignors' many trips to Scotland and the rest from reputable retailers around the world.
Bidding will open June 9th at noon and will end on June 30th on a rolling close of 30 second intervals starting at 7pm ET // 12am GMT // 2am CET //7am HKT.
This sale comprises a veritable 'who's who' of producers across the entirety of Scotland. Speyside is heavily represented, with more than 135 lots, including more than 40 lots from Balvenie and more than 70 lots from Glenfiddich. Highlights include vintage offerings from both storied producers dating back to the 1960s and 1970s and savvy drinkers will be sure to have a field day combing through the dozens of lots perfect for filling a weekday glass or displaying on the top shelf.
From other corners of the world, you'll find multiple lots of Pappy Van Winkle and more than a dozen bottlings from Yamazaki including their phenomenal Sherry Cask and Limited Edition offerings from several vintages. As this consignor clearly knows, a varied and diverse collection makes for a happy collection and we encourage you to look for bottles you know you love as well as experiment with producers new to you.
Note, the no-reserve nature of this auction means bidding will be frequent and fierce; bid early and bid often as collections such as this do not come around often!
