A Lakota (Sioux) beaded knife sheath and knife

The thick case constructed of buffalo hide, one side decorated with a five-box design on the upper half, concentric bands framing triangle motifs below, the trade knife repeatedly marked "W. NASH" on the wooden hilt, the remnants of two old paper labels applied to the back of the sheath, illegibly inscribed.
