A Diné (Navajo) late classic/early transitional woman's wearing blanket

With a ground of thin cream and brown banding overlaid by three wide brown fields enclosing twelve red bars with a mixture of aniline and 20% lac/80% cochineal-dyed red yarns and thin linear accents.
size approximately 3ft 6 1/2in x 4ftd 11in

Footnotes

Approximately 10% of the red yarn used is lac/cochineal dyed.

Dye testing by Dr. David Wenger confirms the stated red dye/ratio; a copy of the dye test results to accompany the lot.
