A SHIWAN WARE FLAMBÉ GLAZED VASE AND A PAIR OF SHIWAN WARE CRANE GROUPS
19th century
The vase of meiping-form with short shoulders and a short lipped neck, covered in a thick glaze with purple, blue and russet streaks; the pair of crane groups modelled in mirror image on a flambé-glazed rockwork base, the birds glazed cream with the legs and beaks decorated in brown slip.
The vase 34cm (13 1/2in) high (3).
