A rare pair of Höchst small potpourri vases and covers, circa 1755

Each moulded with two scrollwork cartouches painted with a polychrome landscape scene on one side and a puce camaieu landscape scene on the other, flanked by pierced panels heightened in blue and yellow, surrounded by scattered insects and flower sprays, the rims with a lambrequin pattern, the pierced covers similarly decorated and applied with rose finials, 13.8cm high, wheel marks in puce, incised I (one cover with small restuck section, minor chips) (4)
