A Du Paquier chocolate beaker, circa 1730-35

Painted with a scene depicting mythological figures within a frame of iron-red and gilt lines, he rims and handle silvered, 7.7cm high, incised Z (tiny chip to rim edge)

A similar chocolate cup and saucer from the same service, formerly in the Georg Tillmann Collection, Hamburg, is in the Imhoff-Stollwerck Museum (published by E. Sturm-Bednarczyk (ed.), Claudius Innocentius de Paquier, 1994, no. 107). Two two-handled beakers and saucers from the same service were in the Otto and Magdalena Blohm Collection (sold by Sotheby's London, 10 October 1961, lots 682 and 683).
