A Meissen tobacco jar mounted with gilt-metal rim and cover, circa 1740-45

The lobed jar decorated with alternating brown-edged gilt scrollwork cartouches, each finely painted with a flower sprig of Holzschnittblumen, the rim with a silver-gilt mount, the tightly-fitting gilt-metal, slightly domed cover with a foliate finial, 20.3cm including cover, indistinct crossed swords in blue, impressed numeral 21 (2)
