A set of six Naples, likely Poulard Prad, cabinet plates, circa 1814

Each decorated with a gilt frieze border in neoclassical style, of which five painted with a harbour or riverine scene, and one with a village fête scene, 22cm diam. (6)

Footnotes

These plates are related to a series of plates with views of Naples published by A. Caròla-Perrotti, Le Porcellane napoletane dell'Ottocento (1990), plate 251 ff. One of the plates shows a more historic village scene, perhaps after an Old Master Painting, the others all depict contemporary harbour scenes.
