A Sèvres cased déjeuner, dated 1777

Decorated with pink rose sprays and scattered sprigs enclosed within gilt borders, comprising: a teapot and cover (Théière 'Calabre'), sugar bowl and cover (pot à sucre 'Bouret' of the second size), cup and saucer (gobelet litron et soucoupe of the third size) with ear-shaped scroll handle, within a green silk-damask-lined leather case embellished with a medallion enclosing three fleur-de-lys, the case: 17.8cm high, 29.3cm long; the teapot: 10.5cm high, interlaced LL monograms with date letter "Z" for 1777 in black to base of sugar bowl and cup, interlaced LL monograms in blue to saucer and teapot, painter's marks "B.n." for Bulidon (active 1763-1792), gilder's marks for Chauvaux l'aîné (active 1752-88) (retouched spot to gilding) (6)
