MUSIC VENUE TRUST:
MVT is a UK-based charity dedicated to protecting, securing, and improving grassroots music venues across the country. Founded in 2014, MVT works tirelessly to tackle the challenges faced by Grassroot Music Venues (GMVs), by providing ongoing support that includes emergency assistance, expert advice from a range of partners, funding guidance, and advocacy on issues such as VAT, mental health, and the Agent of Change principle. The aim is to ensure that GMVs continue to thrive, benefiting both artists and their local communities. MVT's work includes projects that directly tackle urgent issues for grassroots artists, venues and promoters, such as:

Emergency Response Service: A team of dedicated professionals backed by a team of 'gurus' - an experienced team of legal, licensing, planning, financial and business planning professionals offering information, advice and guidance (IAG) to venues facing the immediate threat of closure

MVT Cohorts: A project working with artists, managers, agents and promoters to create additional opportunities to tour, especially in 'left behind' communities.

Revive Live: A partnership project with National Lottery to invest in touring, underwrite risk, and ensure that artists have the opportunity to build their audiences and their careers

Rights Management: IAG services to ensure artists receive their royalties and that venues are complying with their obligations to performers and songwriters

Reducing Energy Consumption: Through a partnership with Zellar and Coca Cola, MVT is successfully trying a suite of app based tools to reduce energy costs and cut carbon emissions

With sincere thanks to Fender, Music Venue Trust, Warner Music, BMG, Universal Music Group, The Gallagher Family and all those who assisted with this project.

Please note that musicians will continue signing the guitar until the auction on October 17th. For an up-to-date list of signatures, please visit our website or contact the department.
