Footnotes

When asked whether old Fender amps were better than new ones, Rory answered: "They seem to warm up sooner. They wouldn't have the wide tonal range that the new Fenders have - particularly the new Fender Super Twin which has a graphic equaliser, a master volume control, overdrive, and all that - but I probably have some interest in old amps over and above the actual music because of their appearance and because the guys in the Fifties used them."
- Rory Gallagher, March 1978.
