Footnotes

This guitar, a Chris Eccleshall custom-build, was a gift from a fan to Rory. Rory used it on the track Continental Op, from the 1987 Defender album.

"Main guitar was my Eccleshall Telecaster with Gibson PAFs, lead phrases were a white Tele, but the slide was the Gretsch Corvette through an AC30. The sound was basically like an old-fashioned radio blowing up. I don't like fuzz guitar actually, just amps that are getting ready to blow!"
- Rory Gallagher, Making Music, 1987.
