Footnotes

In the 1960s, Rory used a small Guyatone LG-50H as a slide guitar on stage a few times, but he soon exchanged it for a Telecaster. In 1974 when he visited Japan for a concert tour, he searched for his old Guyatone model, without success. However, he went on to discover a similar black Guyatone at a local music store when he returned to Ireland. This Guyatone LG-60B might very well be the one. An original retailer's catalogue describes this model: 'A superb instrument with improved pickups. Extra volume control. Reinforced neck. Micro-adjustable bridge...' It is thought that this was then used as the inspiration for Rory's custom Guyatone.
