In 2019, a collaboration was formed between Jacob & Co. and Bugatti to produce unparalleled timepieces inspired by hyper cars. The emphasis on automotive strength and agility served as the muse for Jacob & Co.'s Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon. This timepiece features an automotive inspired case design and see-through casing that mirrors the Chiron's distinctive aesthetic, from the iconic horseshoe grille to the robust quarter glass, and from the sculpted bodywork to the evocative headlights. Jacob & Co. has re-envisioned these elements with a fresh design perspective and a sense of thrill. The watch's inner workings are showcased through seven sapphire panels.

The automaton of the watch pays homage to Bugatti's W16 engine block. The 60-hour power reserve mimics a fuel gauge, the tourbillon carriage resembles a radiator, and the overall structure is akin to exhaust pipes. The timepiece revolves around a non-conventional movement, the Caliber JCAM37, which draws inspiration from Bugatti's engine design. It boasts an intricate, W-shaped, 16-cylinder engine block miniature as its automaton, supported by four coiled springs that serve as shock absorbers. Encasing the 30°-inclined flying tourbillon, made of 578 components, is a tubular structure, providing a safeguard akin to a roll cage.

The case of the Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon is sculpted from a polished blue titanium that evokes the curves of the Chiron's chassis. The resulting design is one that truly mimics the automotive experience on the wrist and is one that truly needs to be seen in person to appreciate. The current lot, in brand new condition, one of a limited edition of 6 pieces and with its full suite of accessories is truly a marvel in the world of horology. Not only is this the first time a true engine has appeared on the wrist, but it is also the first time that this amazing timepiece has ever appeared in auction. The Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon is one of the most exciting timepieces that Bonhams has had the privilege of showcasing this spring season.

錶殼本身由藍色鈦金屬打造而成，模仿Chiron車型底盤的線條，成功地在手腕上營造出像在開超跑般的體驗。本拍品是六只限量作品的其中之一，品相全新，加上完整錶盒與配件，堪稱製錶世界中的巨作。不僅是製錶史上首度原汁原味地將跑車引擎復製到錶殼內，同時也是Jacob & Co. 與Bugatti Chiron這超限量聯名款第一次在拍賣市場中現身，在本次邦瀚斯春季拍賣中是最令人興奮期待的腕錶作品。
