SIHH 2016 saw the debut of a distinguished timepiece, the Richard Lange Jumping Seconds reference 252.025, encased in 40mm of platinum with a silver rhodium dial, with a production set at 100 units. This particular model bears the serial number 19 out of the limited 100-piece run and stands as one of the earliest examples that came to market. The watch's face features a trio of prominent circles that display the hours, minutes, and seconds, reminiscent of a Venn Diagram. Where the hours and seconds circles intersect, a small triangular window turns red to signal a low power reserve. Another notable feature is the crown's zero-reset mechanism, which, when pulled, allows the watch to be reset instantly. True to the watchmaker's storied reputation, the movement is crafted from solid German silver, exquisitely detailed with Glashütte stripes and an intricately hand-finished balance cock by one of only a few renowned watchmakers in their signature style. The dimensions of the case, 40mm in diameter and 10.6mm in thickness, ensure the watch remains comfortable and accessible to many wrist sizes. The current lot, in very good condition is a beautiful example one of the top brands of high horology globally.
