RARE GRAND BOUGEOIR IMPÉRIAL EN BRONZE
Marque et époque Qianlong (1736-1795)
AN IMPERIAL CAST BRONZE CANDLESTICK
Qianlong six-character mark and of the period
Heavily and crisply cast, rising from a hollow bell-shaped base to a large circular drip pan with an everted rim, supporting a tapering cylindrical neck surmounted by a small drip tray, entirely cast around the exterior with stylised dragon scrolls between keyfret borders, the base with a band of pendant cicadas, the foot cast with six-character horizontal mark within a rectangular cartouche.
