A PALE CELADON GREEN JADE 'PRUNUS' WASHER
Ming Dynasty (1368-1644)
Carved in the shape of an open prunus flower nestled among branches issuing multiple smaller flowers, forming the handle and foot, the stone a pale celadon colour with russet splashes, wood stand.
9.7 cm (3 7/8 in) wide (2).

Formerly in the collection of a British military attaché posted to Beijing at the time of the Boxer Rebellion in 1900 (by repute).
