Movement: 17-jewel Valjoux Cal.22 manual wind, column wheel chronograph
Dial: Black vernished with printed Arabic numeral and baton hour markers, subsidiary dials at 3 and 9 for running seconds and 30 minute recording, outer gilt tachymetre and telemetre scales, gilt cathedral hands with luminous inserts, centre chronograph hand
Case: Brushed and polished round, snap on back inside stamped S.A.R., crown flanked by twin pushers, No.047706
Strap/Bracelet: Brown leather
Buckle/Clasp: Signed steel buckle
Signed: Case, dial & movement
Size: 33mm

Footnotes

Reference 3484 was in production from 1939 to 1948 and was cased either in stainless steel or gold. The model is described and illustrated in I Cronografi Rolex - La Leggenda, Pucci Papaleo Editore, pp. 132 & 133.

In common with other Rolex references at this period such as the "monoblocco" ref. 3525, the serial and reference numbers are on the outside of the case back as opposed to between the lugs of later models.
