The text comprises the U'idhu prayer, recommended to be recited after every morning prayer for the purpose of repelling enemies.

Qay Qubad Mirza is listed as the 21st son of Fath 'Ali Shah, but no further biography is recorded.

The scribe could be Muhammad Isma'il Yazdi, whose single recorded piece, commissioned for Muhammad Vali Mirza is dated AH 1239/AD 1823-24. See Mehdi Bayani, ahval va asar-e khosh-nevisan, vol. IV, Tehran, 1358 sh., p. 132.
