The text consists of two parts: the Tilism-i Bangala, compiled by Ram Lal, son of Munshi Durg Prashad, printed in 1889 by the private printing press of Durg Prashad. The second part, published by Mir 'Ali Panah in Agra in 1891, is a Majmu'a (compilation) of several works, which would appear to be all or mostly by Nazeer Akbarabadi: the Jogi-Nama (Book of the Yogi), Paise-Nama (Book of Money), Roti-Nama (Book of Bread), the Banjara-Nama (Book of the Nomad), and the Hans-Nama (Book of the Goose).
