A RARE KO-KUTANI-STYLE DEEP BOWL
Edo period (1615-1868), probably 1650-60s
Boldly decorated in green, aubergine, mustard yellow, blue and iron-red enamels, the interior covered with repeated geometric patterns, stylised birds and flowers in square divisions, the speckled grey exterior with two quails foraging for food among rocks and millet, the base with the fuku mark in green enamel; with a wood stand. 11cm x 24.5cm (4 3/8in x 9 5/8in).
