AN YIXING STONEWARE MODEL OF A TOAD

Chen Mingyuan seal marks, early Qing Dynasty
Naturalistically modelled with meticulous attention to the toad's anatomy, depicted with head held up with alert expression, the back with warty lumps and webbed feet, the stoneware of an attractive greyish-brown colour, the base with two seals, box and wood stand. 9.5cm (3 3/4in) long. (2).
