In my work, I have painted the woman. - George Keyt.

'Keyt's depiction of women takes several forms. He portrays them singly, in groups or with a lover...In Keyt's eyes the woman was part of the poetry of love. Throughout the course of his life, he would explore the idea of love in all of its many aspects - contemplation, desire and longing, anguish and ardour, passion and sex. Like an all consuming passion, it evolved and grew, eventually becoming an overriding theme.' (SinhaRaja Tammita-Delgoda, George Keyt-The Absence of a Desired Image, 2023, pg. 341.)
