Kohari was a painter of abstract oil patterns and designs in the 1960s, before changing his medium to ceramics. These ceramics, known as 'fire paintings' were vivid and colourful and were exhibited both at Indus Gallery and Chowkandi Art and were on display at the Shakir Ali Museum. He experimented with colour and extraneous materials like wire net and came to be regarded as a pioneer in ceramics in Pakistan. Untitled (Two Girls) appears to be an amalgamation of the techniques he employed during the course of his career. The girls in the foreground, the buildings, the camels and rider in the background are all painted in a consistent multicoloured palette, as if there is no distinction between them. Moreover, the buildings, camels and rider in the background appear abstract whilst the painting appears to have been 'fired,' akin to ceramics, adding an earthy texture.
