In the late sixties, Mansoor Aye expressed a mood of pensive pleasure in life. The themes of his paintings were innocence, love and the beauty of youth, personified by a young girl, the moon and the moonlit night. His love-stricken dove-eyed girls were envisioned to bring back to the viewer, cherished moments of youth. He says: 'To my mind the greatest miracle is the miracle of life, my work is a tribute to its few wondrous moments'(Ijaz Ul Hasan, Painting in Pakistan, Lahore, 1996, p.94-95.)
