A GILT-COPPER-ALLOY FIGURE OF VASUDHARA

Nepal, 15th century
The six-armed deity seated in lalitasana
(royal ease) atop a double-lotus base, bedecked in elaborate jewelry inlaid with cabochons of colored glass and turquoise, the hair coiffed in a vajra-shaped chignon surrounded by an ornate diadem, the arms holding various implements including a gem, the vase of amrita, the iconic spike of grain, and a pustaka (bound scripture).
