A GROUP OF TEN QINGBAI WARES

Song-Yuan dynasty
Comprising: Two bowls each with six raised ribs rising on the curving interior walls and two fish swimming on the circular floor, one rendered with combed and carved lines, the other molded in relief, each under a pale blue-green glaze displaying a network of craze lines; a thinly potted bowl with a deep curving well supported on a narrow foot ring, the exterior walls incised with C-scrolls and combed lines forming flower heads, the blue-green glaze applied everywhere except the rim; a bowl of inverted bell form with a flared rim and raised on a narrow foot, the walls without decoration except for an incised line below the exterior rim, the blue-green glaze covering all surfaces except the cinnamon-burnt rim; a pair of saucer dishes each with straight sides gently flaring from a convex well, combed with stylized foliage, all surfaces except for the mouth rims covered in a pale-blue translucent glaze pooling in the recesses; a shallow bowl with a lotus plant roundel molded in the recessed center, the blue-green glazed applied everywhere except the rim; a small saucer incised with four interlocking loops, the glaze a blue-green hue covering all surfaces except base burnt cinnamon-brown; one thickly molded bowl with a flared unglazed rim and deep curving well covered under a blue-green glaze; one bowl with wide rim, the exterior carved with lotus leaves and the well with stylized flowers, the glaze fired to a pale straw hue, rim, footpad, and recessed base unglazed.
