8vo (201 x 130 mm). 10, [2], 480 pp. Two engraved plates of genital tumors. Contemporary paste-paper boards rebacked in quarter calf, preserving red morocco spine label (chipped), contemporary pen annotation to title page.
Provenance: Arthur Edward Lyons (bookplate).

FIRST EDITION of Larrey's account of his medical services during the Napoleonic campaigns in Egypt and Syria, inscribed by the author on the half-title, trimmed at right margin: "A Monsieur le Curé Dest[--] Eustache. Hommage de respect et de considération de la part de l'au[tor?]." Garrison-Morton 5837 (for the 1801 Cairo edition of Larrey's memoir on trachoma, reprinted here).
