The case surmounted by a geometric floral engraved handle over a small circular escapement observation window framed by cast flowerheads on a matted ground, the cornice with anthemion border over matted sides decorated with a pair of lyres, and a pierced circular back door, raised on a cast base with lion paw feet. The signed white enamel Roman dial with minute track and blued steel Breguet style hands and a tapering alarm-setting hand.
The triple spring barrel movement with pin pallet platform escapement and grande sonnerie striking on two bells, the backplate with full Swiss striking work and skeletonised contrate wheel, stamped in the lower left corner 576 . Ticking and striking. 23.5cms (9ins) high
