A good late 19th century French gorge cased repeating carriage clock

Drocourt, No.16647. Retailed by Klafternberger, Paris
The ribbed handle over an oval inspection window, moulded cornice and panelled sides. The white enamel rectangular Roman and Arabic dial with blued steel moon hands. The twin train movement with silvered lever platform escapement with half-cut, compensated bimetallic balance, with repeat and striking on a blued steel coiled gong, the backplate with trademark, number and engraved retailer's name. Ticking, striking and repeating. 17cms (6.75 ins) high.
