The fragmentary head is most likely from Agrigento, and bears a seal with the coat of arms of the Kingdom of Naples/of the Two Sicilies, which must have been marked before 1861. For another Sicilian head with similar treatment of the hair, see R.A. Higgins, Catalogue of Terracottas in the Department of Greek and Roman Antiquities, British Museum, London, 1970, p. 304, pl. 152, no. 1110.
