The present work is listed as one of 5 views of the exterior of Antwerp cathedral painted variously between 1827 and 1860. The four other versions are in museum collections: Museo de Arte de Ponce, Puerto Rico (1827); Cooper Art Gallery, Barnsley (1829); Harris Museum and Art Gallery, Preston (1847); and Guildhall Art Gallery, City of London (1860).
