Kakejiku (hanging scroll), ink on paper, depicting two monkeys on the edge of a precipice, the adult monkey, with his exaggeratedly long arm reaching for the moon reflected in the water, inscribed on the reverse of the painting Mitsunobu saru no zu (Painting of a Monkey by Mitsunobu); unsigned. 113.3cm (44 5/8in) high x 38.7cm (15in) wide.
