Japan, Edo Period (1615-1868), probably 17th/18th century
Comprising two original sections of kakejiku (vertical hanging painting) now framed, glazed and mounted, probably from a complete set of twelve, ink and slight colour on paper, each depicting a tethered falcon on an elaborate perch, each with an inscription on the top section, each unsigned. Each approx.: 113cm (44 1/2in) high x 46cm (18 1/8in) wide. (2).
