A SUITE OF FOUR REGENCE BEECH ARMCHAIRS
Circa 1720
Each carved with shells and scrolling foliate motifs, the back with shaped and eared toprail above waved armrests with acanthus motif, upholstered in close-nailed beige suede, the seatrail carved with foliage and centred by a lambrequin against a hatched ground, on cabriole legs headed by shell and terminating in upswept acanthus sabots, joined by a x-shaped stretcher. 95cm (37 1/2in) high x 68cm (26 3/4in) wide x 59cm (23 1/4in) deep.
